Results from the recent poll on the structure and format of state and national speedway titles show a pretty clear desire for change.
For the Australian Titles, 78% of respondents would prefer a traditional one-day final, instead of the current 4 rounds series.
78% do not think that interstate riders should be eligible for state title events when there are sufficient local riders to conduct a meeting.
Only 17% think that our European based professionals should be automatically seeded, while 68% of respondents think that a qualifying meeting is the best option of selecting a championship field. 62% think that the qualifying meeting should be run weeks before the title event.
Overwhelmingly, the least supported qualifying options were conducting a time-trial (4%), and running it on the day of the title meeting (7%).
